General Leather Repair
Leather Restoration
Leather Restoration
We restore automotive and furniture leather, repairing color loss, surface wear, cracks, scratches, and holes. From vehicle interiors to residential and commercial furniture, we use premium products for durable, factory-quality results
Seam Repair
Seam Repair
Often, instead of removing and re-sewing an entire leather panel, a localized repair of a blind-stitched (hidden) seam is sufficient. This allows us to reinforce the seam discreetly while preserving the original upholstery and appearance.
Color Fading
Color Fading
Color fading repair addresses leather surfaces that have lost pigment due to sunlight, abrasion, and environmental exposure. Using professional-grade dyes and coatings, we re-establish consistent color depth and protect the surface for long-term durability in both vehicle interiors and furniture upholstery.

Body Oil Staining
Stains
Body oil and other staining damage often penetrates beyond the surface and cannot be corrected by cleaning alone. In such cases, we remove the affected topcoat and compromised surface layer, rebuild the area using specialized repair compounds, recolor it to match the surrounding leather, and apply a protective topcoat for long-lasting results.
General Leather Repair Process
Step 1: Assessment
We start with a thorough evaluation of your leather item to identify the damage and determine the best repair methods.
Not every item is a good candidate for repair. In certain cases, panel replacement may be the better choice. Our Repair, Reupholster, or Buy New page can help you make the right decision for your item.
Step 2: Preparing & Bonding
Next, we prepare the area for repair, focusing on preserving as much of the original material as possible. The damaged area is cleaned, reinforced if necessary, and stabilized with a professional leather adhesive.
Step 3: Filling with Special Compound
At this stage, the damaged area is rebuilt using a specialized compound. It's applied in controlled layers and cured with heat to ensure proper bonding and flexibility. Once cured, the surface is carefully sanded to level and restore the original texture profile. This compound acts as a flexible substitute for the original material, reinforcing the repaired area and providing a stable, uniform base for the subsequent color application.

Step 4: Color and Top Coat Application
In this stage, a specialized leather coating is professionally mixed to precisely match the existing color of the material. The color is carefully applied to ensure seamless blending with the surrounding area. Once the desired color is achieved, protective top coats are applied to seal the surface, enhance durability, and provide the appropriate finish—whether matte, satin, or gloss—matching the original appearance.
Step 5: Final Result
After all repair steps are completed, the final result is carefully evaluated. If necessary, additional refinement may be performed, including light sanding, surface leveling, or further color adjustment, to ensure the repair meets our quality standards and blends seamlessly with the surrounding material.
Color Restoration Process
Natural Fading
Discoloration may occur due to aging, prolonged exposure to sunlight, or general wear. In such cases, color restoration involves proper surface preparation, professional color matching, and controlled color application using sponge and spray techniques.
In many situations, color fading is accompanied by additional physical damage. Before applying the final color coat, these areas must be properly repaired to ensure a uniform and durable result.

Stains and BodyOil
Color change can also be caused by staining from body oils, chemicals, or other contaminants. In these cases, the repair method depends on how deeply the substance has penetrated the material. Prior to color application, the affected surface layer must be sufficiently removed to eliminate the contaminated material. The surface is then rebuilt using a specialized repair compound.
Not all deep stains can be successfully repaired. In particular, long-term body oil contamination may cause structural deterioration of the leather. Depending on the desired outcome, we may recommend either replacing the entire panel or proceeding with a localized repair, with the understanding that durability may be limited in severely affected areas.

Frequently Asked Questions
What types of leather do you repair?
We specialize in all types of leather, including upholstery for homes, vehicles, RV, boats, aircrafts, and commercial items. Whether it’s a vinyl, genuine leather, pigmented, semi-aniline or aniline.
How long will my repair take?
Minor damage can typically be repaired within a few hours. These jobs are usually completed on site.
In cases where on-site repair is not possible, the item may need to be taken to our shop. Shop repairs generally take 1–2 business days, depending on the scope of work. Additional time may be required if specific materials need to be sourced and are not immediately available.
After recoloring, the final paint curing time is up to 48 hours. In most cases, furniture can be carefully used after this curing period.

Do you provide warranty for your repairs?
Warranty coverage for leather repairs depends on the extent of the original damage and the level of use of the repaired area.
Our standard warranty for physical repairs with recoloring is one (1) year, subject to applicable terms and conditions. This warranty does not cover areas exposed to heavy use, such as seating surfaces or locations subject to constant physical stress, pressure, stretching, or friction.
In high-wear areas, we can warranty the structural integrity of the repair, as the material is reinforced with additional backing or stitching. However, the durability of the color coating in these areas cannot be guaranteed, as its lifespan depends on usage conditions beyond our control.
In cases where the damage is extensive, replacing or re-sewing the affected area with new leather panels may be recommended. In such cases, the warranty applies to the seams and workmanship of the replacement.
Under the terms of the warranty, if all conditions are met, the customer may request a complimentary repair of the same area should a defect related to our workmanship be identified
How should I care for my repaired leather?
To maintain your leather after a repair, avoid exposing it to excess moisture and direct sunlight. Regular cleaning and conditioning also helps keep it soft and supple.
Are you insured?
Yes, our business is fully insured, ensuring your items are protected during repairs.
