The Issue:
Dark dye transfer from:
- Clothing (jeans, dark fabric)
- A bag or item left against the seat
The pigment has penetrated into the leather, especially along the bolster and perforated panel
You can see irregular edges and deep saturation, which indicates absorption, not surface dirt
In The Process
Because the leather was still in good condition, we were able to fix the dye transfer through recoloring. The process involved three key stages: thorough cleaning, removing the old top coat for better bonding, and applying a custom-matched leather pigment
